The writer makes a lot of strong points. Baseball fans are often mistaken, especially when it comes to money, and spending it on players. The amount that the New York Yankees paid A-rod...was well worth it. You look at the numbers he put up, and it surpasses those of two-three average players this year combined. So why not pay him three times as much as a mediocre player? The fault of a baseball team is not when they pay superstars a gigantic amount, but instead, when they pay mediocre payers more then they should.
